Tired of alarmists

"you just can't see the truth". I've heard that from many people; the first time was a born-again in highschool. Since then it's a supposed knockdown argument used by all manner of people who don't know how to actually structure an argument. Telling me I'm "wrong" doesn't impress me or convince me one little bit. Telling me that I "just am blinded" or "have had the wool pulled over my eyes" or whatever, isn't an argument. Give me a proper argument please. I said this around the time of the OWS movement. If you don't have a cogent argument, please don't tell me that I may not, should not continue as before. If you don't have something coherent to say to me about why I'm doing the wrong thing, please stop telling me that I'm doing the wrong thing. I disregard bald assertions from all people; I do not make special cases for anyone. If you tell me that the end is nigh, I don't care if you're a climate alarmist, a 2012ist, an OWSer, or a christian, it's all the same to me: mere hype.
